Understanding what you can do with DealerTrackIt.com is what makes the program even more valuable. Notification alerts can be set to immediately notify the recipient via email or text message.​

 

•Know the driving habits of a driver by watching over speed notifications - (Speed Alert).

 

•Be informed when a loved one arrives or departs from pre-established location – (GeoFence Alert).

 

•Know where the vehicle started and stopped through out the day (Ignition Alerts).

 

•Set a pre-established level to be notified if your battery loses power (Low Battery Alert).

 

•Set pre-established vehicle maintenance reminders such as Oil Change, State Inspection, Tire Rotation, Brakes 

(Maintenance Alert).

 

•Looking to make sure your vehicle does not leave a pre-established state? No problem, (Out of State Alert).

 

•Be notified if someone tampered with the installation of the product, (Stopped Report Alert).

HOW TO RUN ALERTS 

 

 

SPEED ALERTS 

 

 

  • Click on VEHICLES LIST Tab

  • Go to the VEHICLE  you choose to set speed alert

  • Go to ACTIONS (far right) and click on BLUE TRIANGLE.

  • Check Speed Alert box and set speed from drop down selection.

  • Click Save. 

  • This vehicle’s speed limit was set to 65 MPH, whenever the vehicle exceeds that speed, the designated person or person’s will be notified by email or text message.

  • Likewise the speed will be documented in a report

  • See below a sample of the alert sent via email and text. 

Low Battery Alerts (feature on select plans)

 

  • Click on VEHICLES LIST Tab

  • Go to the VEHICLE  you choose to set Low Battery Alert

  • Check the Low Battery Alert Box

  • Set Desired alert level of battery voltage (Usually around10.0V)

  • Click Save. 

  • To send battery alerts to designated personnel, go to Alerts Tab

  • Click On Battery Alert 

  • Fill in Voltage Amount  with designated Low Battery Email contact. Multiple Emails can be sent by using a comma to separate contacts.

  • Click on Save

  • This feature ALERTS designated contacts BEFORE a dead battery!

  • See below a sample of an alert that can be sent Email or Text. 

Tow/Potential Theft Alert  (feature on select plans)

 

  • Click on VEHICLES LIST Tab

  • Go to the VEHICLE  you choose to set Tow/Potential Theft Alert

  • Go to ACTIONS (far right) and click on BLUE TRIANGLE.

  • Check the Tow/Potential Theft Alert Box

  • Click Save. 

  • This feature ALERTS designated contacts when the vehicle is moving when the vehicles Ignition is NOT ON. (For Example, when vehicle is being towed.)

  • Please note: There may be events when GPS Signals Drift that may cause an alert. Based on your particular geographic location, please test this feature for its effectiveness. 

  • See below a sample of an alert that can be sent Email or Text. 

Stopped Reporting Alert  (feature on all plans)

 

  • Click on VEHICLES LIST Tab

  • Go to the VEHICLE  you choose to set Tow/Potential Theft Alert

  • Go to ACTIONS (far right) and click on BLUE TRIANGLE.

  • Check the Stopped Reporting Alert Box.

  • Choose the amount of days when unit stopped reporting that you want to be alerted.

  • Click Save

  • This alert will notify you when the unit stopped reporting based on the # of days selected. 

  • This is an excellent alert to notify you if a vehicle is not being used and to alert the designated contacts via Email or Text Alert.

  • Please see below and example of  a Stopped Reporting Alert.

Stopped Reporting Alert  (feature on all plans)

 

  • Click on VEHICLES LIST Tab

  • Go to the VEHICLE  you choose to set Tow/Potential Theft Alert

  • Go to ACTIONS (far right) and click on BLUE TRIANGLE.

  • Check the Stopped Reporting Alert Box.

  • Choose the amount of days when unit stopped reporting that you want to be alerted.

  • Click Save

  • This alert will notify you when the unit stopped reporting based on the # of days selected. 

  • This is an excellent alert to notify you if a vehicle is not being used and to alert the designated contacts via Email or Text Alert.

Ignition On/Off Alert (feature on all plans)

 

  • Click on VEHICLES LIST Tab

  • Go to the VEHICLE  you choose to set Ignition On/ Off Alert

  • Go to ACTIONS (far right) and click on BLUE TRIANGLE.

  • Check the Ignition On/Off Alert Box.

  • Click Save. 

  • This alert will notify you exactly the time and location the vehicle was turned on and off.

  • Setting the On/Off alert to email or text should be done only if there is specific reasons. (Normally the box should not have a check in it.)

  • Running the Ignition On/Off reports very effective in knowing exact time and locations of vehicle use. 

GeoFence Alert (feature on all plans)

 

  • Click on ALERTS Tab

  • Click on GEOFENCES Tab

  • Click on Edit

  • Choose the vehicles that you want a Geofence Alert 

  • Click Save

  • After SAVING, the GEOFENCE, is completed and its name is noted under create geofence tab on the right.

  • NOTE: UP TO 3 GEOFENCES CAN BE SET. 

  • Geofences are the answer when you want to be notified when a vehicle or asset arrives or departs a designated area.  Geofences can likewise be logged into history rather than notifying by email or text.  Finally, Geofences are a wonderful tool for confirming a loved one arriving or departing a pre-determined location.

  • Please see below an example of Geofence Email Alerts. 

Maintenance Alerts (feature on all plans)

 

  • Click on ALERTS Tab

  • Click on Maintenance Alerts Tab

  • Click on New Maintenance alert tab

  • Fill in New Maintenance Alert specifications based on time or milage 

  • Then click the selected contact to get the alert

  • Select the vehicle for the maintenance alert

  • Click Add Alert 

  • After Adding Alert the following screen comes up confirming the Maintenance alert. 

  • Maintenance alerts can be done for many other reminders such as Brakes, Filters, Hoses, Belts, State Inspections and Time to Change Loaners Vehicles. 

  • This is a very effective way to alert customers to come back to your dealership for prescheduled maintenance and specials!

  • Pre-Maintenance & Maintenance Alerts are sent to give customers or dealer personnel designated in the Select Contact List.

State Alert (feature on all plans)

 

  • Click on ALERTS Tab

  • Click on State Alerts Tab

  • Click on drop down arrow for State

  • Choose the State to Stay Within 

  • The Out of State Alert will be sent to the designated contacts set up in the Account contact list.
